With literally hundreds of eerily intoxicating concoctions created to entice your salacious spirit this Halloween, The Bourboneer recommends 4 creepy cocktails that “possess” the most fantastic of frightening firewater ever . I am of course referring to Bourbon, as if there was any doubt. Here are my ostensibly obscene offerings (I promise no more alliteration):
The Red Moon over Manhattan
- 1/2 ounce bourbon
- 2 ounces red wine
- 1/2 ounce simple syrup
- 3 gourmet maraschino cherries
- ice
**********
The Blood Orange Bourbon Smash
- 1 1/2 ounces bourbon
- 1 1/2 ounces simple syrup
- few dashes of Angostura bitters
- 2 slices blood orange
- 6 ounces blood orange juice
- crushed ice
**********
The Blood Orange Bourbon Sunrise
- 3 ounces bourbon
- 8 oz blood orange juice
- 1 orange slice
- 2 tsp honey
- ice
**********
The Suffering Bastard
- 1 ounce bourbon
- 1 ounce gin
- 1 ounce lime juice
- 4 ounces ginger ale
- 1 orange slice or mint sprig
**********
Enjoy! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
